Our Society

With the aim of promoting education, which plays a very vital role in the socio-economic scenario of the country, the AISSM Society was established in the year 1918, by the then rulers of Kolhapur, Gwalior, Baroda, and Indore to impart quality military education to the offsprings of their army personnel.
Over the last few decades, however, the society has diversified by encompassing technical and management education in its portfolio. Keeping in mind the goals and objectives of the society, it has started the various educational institutes such as:

All these Institutes / Colleges are located at two different campuses at Shivajinagar, in the heart of Pune City having the latest infrastructural facilities. All the institutes are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, recognized by the Government of Maharashtra and are affiliated to the University of Pune. The Society employs more than 2,000 teaching and non-teaching staff and provides quality education to about 8,000 students of various communities.

1. Shrimant Shri Sahu Chattrapati Maharaj - President
Descendant of the Royal family of erstwhile Kolhapur State and a revered personality who has keen interest in education.

2. Shrimant Yuvraj Sambhajiraje Chattrapati - Vice President
Descendant of the Royal family of erstwhile Kolhapur State who actively oversees the management of the Society.

3. Capt. Shivaji Mahadkar - Honorary Secretary
An ex-army Officer, who has dedicated his life to the noble cause of promoting education.

4. Shri. Uttamrao Vankiraj Patil - Treasurer
Renowned educationist and a social worker. Heads many reputed educational Institutes in Pune.

5. Shri A. U. Patil - Honorary Joint Secretary
The youngest member of the Management, who actively participates in the Governance of the Society.

6. Shri. Dilip Mahadev Umbarkar - Chairman Governing Council
A sitting corporator in Pune Municipal Corporation and an active social worker, has contributed greatly to the upliftment of the weaker section of the society.

7. Shri. Ranjit Narsingrao Chavan - Chairman Managing Committee
A retired judge, having contributed immensely in the field of judiciary, a practicing advocate, is actively involved in education.

Our College

'

The AISSM Society's College of Hotel Management and Catering Technology was established in 1997 to impart professional training and technical know-how in the field of Hospitality, to the aspiring students.

In the year 2002, the college moved to its brand new building spread over an area of 6,000 sq. mts., with state-of-the-art equipment and infrastructure.

During 2004, the college reached another milestone by obtaining ISO 9001:2000 Certification and since then, has been successfully conducting audits to maintain the ISO standards.

The college takes pride in the high-tech infrastructure that it has developed. It has highly qualified and experienced faculty, that forms a strong backbone of the College.

Our competence lies in a continuous monitoring of the students’ academic performance, their attendance and constant faculty-student interaction / counselling for their overall development, which is also our trademark.
The college lays emphasis on academic and industry interaction, and professionals from the industry are invited as visiting faculty to bridge this gap.

Keeping in view the fact that only lectures and laboratory practicals are not enough, students are encouraged and exposed to conduct various theme lunches, food festivals, seminars, etc.
Over the years, our college has built an excellent rapport with major Hotels,Resorts, Fine Dining Restaurants and Quick Service Restaurants, who look towards us for their recruitments.
